WHAT PAWPAW CAN CURE AND DO
The Pawpaw, otherwise
known as papaya by some people is a native of South America. There are 22
plants and trees in the Pawpaw genus; the most famous is carica papaya. Pawpaw reached Europe in 1690, Asia in the 18th
century. Pawpaw is now grown in Africa, Nigeria included.
Pawpaw is one of the
most cultivated trees in Nigeria; it grows in almost all the farms in Nigeria.
It serves in so many ways to man and animals. It is edible, both by man and
animals. It is curative of some illness. Illness that causes us pain most at
times can be cured with Pawpaw.
Pawpaw can be eaten when
ripe, or preferred by some when not ripe. When eaten, Pawpaw gives vitamins and
aids in digestion. Most people who take Pawpaw take it because of its work in
the body metabolism and digestion. The goats and other herbivorous animals feed
on Pawpaw leaves and the fruit itself. So if you didn’t know that the Pawpaw

There are other edible
values of Pawpaw. Pawpaw can also be blended and the sauce used to make other
foods. The ripe fruit is rich in Vitamin A, good for sight; it is also rich in
Vitamins B and C. Pawpaw builds and strengthens the muscles; it also builds and

expels worms from our body.
