THE FIRST BLACK VICE CHANCELLOR IN BRITAIN
Professor Charles Egbu, a British Nigerian, was recently made the Vice Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University. He studied in Britain during his undergraduate days and his postgraduate days. Since he started his studies and began to work at the university as a young man he has continually developed himself and excelled in his career.
He had his first degree in Quantity Surveying from Leeds Trinity University, a first class honor degree. He moved on to acquire a PhD degree from the University of Salford in the field of Construction Management. This can be seen as that he worked his way through his academic achievement and success.
Through his period as an academic scholar, he served in a number of respected positions like as the Dean of School of the Built Environment and Architecture in London South Bank University, and a whole lot of other positions. He hails from Idemili Local Government in Anambra State and has lived most of his life in Britain. He has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Leeds Trinity University, and as at this year, 2020, the first black Vice Chancellor appointed in Britian.
