Is Ben Carson fit to win the Republican Party’s Presidential Ticket?
Ben Carson is a successful American neurosurgeon. He
is aged 64. He was born in Michigan, and he is a graduate of Yale University
and the University of Michigan. He has carried out important brain surgeries
with different teams at John Hopkins Hospital, Maryland. He declared his
interest for the seat of the president of the United States on 4th of May, 2015.
He wants to run for the prized seat on the platform of the Republican Party.
Ben Carson is a popular and successful doctor. He is
an ardent Christian. He was raised by his single mother. As a child, Carson’s
family barely had enough to meet their needs. His inspiring and interesting
memoirs cum motivational books have inspired and thrilled people of all
cultures. His Gifted Hands is one of
his numerous books where he relays the story of his trials, pains and his
success. He is respected around the world and most of his views are palatable
with the views of the masses. Ben Carson and his wife sponsors a scholarship
for American students, they believe and work for the improvement of education
in America. But how do you see him securing the presidential ticket of the
Republican Party?
The opinion polls of the party have not showed that
he is in a bad spot. People are conversant with his views about running the
American government. But isn’t he too religiously inclined to rule America? Has
American not outgrown this belief that God makes all things possible with
faith? He can be pardoned, though, because, he attends the Seventh Day
Adventist where the members still follow these archaic religious doctrines. He
was once quoted making disparaging comments about same-sex marriage and
relationship, for him, it is not real marriage. He has since withdrawn his
comments.
He has condemned Obama’s health-care initiative, and
he has also made several political and foreign policy blunders. Although there
is no controversy around him, his religious stance and his ignorance of foreign
and governmental policies put him behind other contestants for the ticket.
However, some of his views appeal to the people who would likely vote for him.
